Dick Grayson Is The Dead Robin in Batman V Superman: Clarification
Dick Grayson is the dead Robin in Batman V Superman. It was confirmed by director Zack Snyder as well as David Ayer. He was the director of the 2016 movie, the Suicide Squad.
For a long time, there has been confusion among fans whether that Dick Grayson or Jason Todd was the dead Robin in the DCEU.
Dead Robin?
An Easter egg in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showed that Robin had already died in the DC Extended Universe. Comic line series Batman: A Death in the Family, the story provides one of the most shocking developments to the Batman mythos as Jason Todd, the second Robin, is killed at the hand of Batman’s arch-enemy, the Joker.

So many people assumed it was Jason that killed by the Joker. Even Suicide Squad director once mentioned it was Jason Todd.
But now it’s confirmed that Geoff Johns forced him to say it was Jason according to a tweet from David.
But Zack Snyder’s master plan was about Grayson’s death. With the announcement of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, a new fan wave started with another hope. It is about to see the original version of the Suicide Squad. It is now trending as Ayer Cut with the #ReleaseTheAyerCut hashtag. With the Ayer Cut campaign, director David Ayer himself started teasing scenes that did not make to the final cut of Suicide Squad theatrical version. With those teasers, fans started investigating deep into the movie.
Dick Grayson/Jason Todd
While answering fan questions on Vero, Zack Snyder confirmed that Dick Grayson has died. He has died prior to the events of Dawn of Justice and that it is his suit that hangs in the Batcave. This cleans up earlier comments from Suicide Squad director David Ayer, who gave the impression that Jason Todd was dead. Also, it is worth noticing that, according to Snyder Grayson’s death was the main reason Batman is so aggressive. Simply A Death In The Family.

Snyder also revealed that he had plans to hint to Grayson’s death in his version of the Justice League. Interestingly, during the production of Batman v Superman a gravestone was spotted featuring the name of Dick Grayson. So there is a definite possibility that Snyder did indeed intend for this to be Dick’s Robin costume. Maybe it was supposed to use in Justice League, and that could be the hint.
